Hellman Electric was contracted under DEP Contract NC-176 to perform a complete reconstruction of the Closed-Circuit Television (CCTV) system at the Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant—one of the largest and most complex facilities of its kind in New York City. The project encompassed upgrading critical security infrastructure and integrating advanced monitoring technologies, significantly strengthening the plant’s safety, security, and regulatory compliance.
